A Book With a Purpose
The House of Hope is an inspirational ministry in Odessa, Ukraine operated by Smethurst Ministries. An orphanage built to take in and care for vulnerable children, it has faithfully served the people of Odessa for many years. However, since the war broke out and the orphans were evacuated, they have become a beacon of hope and help to all in the darkest of times. It’s doors are now open to young and old, as many find care, shelter and evacuation through this incredible haven. People are not only served within its walls, teams tirelessly go into surrounding areas and towns, to the broken, hurting and hopeless. They bring food, medical supplies, practical assistance, loving care and the hope
offered only in Jesus, to thousands effected by the onslaught of destruction and violence.
The House of Hope truly is a lighthouse. It’s workers tirelessly serve day and night, month after month, laying down their lives to save others. The work is supported by the giving of those who have been entrusted with more and understand that it is better to give than to receive.
Isabelle is one of these people. She has a generous heart and a determination to help show the Ukrainian people they are precious and loved. As such, Isabelle will not be funding her own endeavors with this project, instead she has decided that all proceeds raised by the sale of her book will go directly to Smethurst Ministries to continue the crucial work of the House of Hope amongst the Ukrainian people.
